The Horatio Group serves up WorldHost recognition

At The Horatio Group, we are passionate about service standards and are incredibly proud to have recently gained national recognition for our commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Over the past year, almost 100 of our front-of-house staff attended the comprehensive WorldHost training workshops and we are delighted to announce that Madison’s Hotel, The Northern Whig, The King’s Head and Horatio Todd’s in Belfast, as well as the DR:NK off licence, have joined Molly Brown’s in Newtownards and Denvir’s in Downpatrick in gaining WorldHost Recognised Business status.

Jillian Doogan from The Horatio Group commented, “When our customers see the WorldHost logo displayed in our business, they’ll know that we have made a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for them. Not only does this generate a positive buzz about the service we offer, but it helps to promote Belfast, Newtownards and Downpatrick as friendly and welcoming tourist destinations.”

An Epic Challenge for a Great Cause….

An Epic Challenge for a Great Cause….

Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke’s epic ‘Titanic Marathon Walk’ took place in September 2014 and The Horatio Group were extremely proud of the 25 brave staff who agreed to take on the challenge.

The 25km journey began at Groomsport and our staff followed the coastal route past Helen’s Bay and Crawfordsburn before finishing at the Titanic Building. Team Horatio Todd’s crossed the finish line first, completing the walk in an impressive 3 hours 50 minutes, closely followed by staff from The Northern Whig.

We were particularly keen to raise vital funds for Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke. We all know someone who has suffered or is suffering from chest heart or stroke related illnesses and NICHS do an incredible job in promoting the prevention of and alleviation of suffering from these illnesses and every penny they receive will help support local people in Northern Ireland.

Jillian Doogan from The Horatio Group commented, “We are truly overwhelmed by the support and generosity of our customers, staff and their friends and families. Our staff should be extremely proud to have participated in the challenging walk and for helping to raise donations and awareness of the work of NICHS.”

The Horatio Group are pleased to hand over a cheque for £1600 to Cheryl Brown of Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke.
